Bhaktapur, Balika balatkar ka aropit lai 6 barsa kaid sajaye. District Court Bhaktapur has sentenced six years in jail for a man accused of raping a 16-year-old girl. District Judge Nagendra Lal Karna sent Bishal Khadgi, 22, of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-11 to jail and asked him to pay Rs 100,000 as compensation to the victim. Police had arrested Khadgi on charge of raping the girl repeatedly on several pretexts since June 3, 2013. The victim has given birth to a baby conceived when raped. The court ordered the perpetrator to provide Rs 100,000 as interim compensation. The court also instructed for the action against Rameshwar Neupane, the VDC secretary of Kalati Bhumidanda for provide false age of the girl.
