Ramechhap, Balika lai yaun durbewahar garne lai 16 barsa jail sajaye. District court of Ramechhap has sentenced Bishnu Thapa, 52, of Manthali municipality-12 to 16 years in prison for sexual abuse of two girls, one 6-year-old and another 7-year-old. A single bench of district court judge Umesh Luitel issued the verdict on December 21 regarding the case. The court also ruled to compensate the victim for Rs 50,000 each from the perpetrator. Thapa was arrested by the police on November 27 on charge of molesting the two girls on various occasions. He was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim's party on November 26 at DPO.
