Pipra Mahottari, CK Raut prahari bata pakrau pareko, prahari ko lathi charge bata panch chou jana ghaite Today Police arrested Dr.CK Raut at 12:30 from Pipra Mahottari. He was released in the eveninng around 8pm. Raut was arrested while he was going to address his Political Assembly; was staged at Jaleshwar. Since Dr. Raut has been released from Dillibazar Jail by posting bail, he has organized five Political assemblies already. While verdict was given by the Special Court while releasing him on bail, it was not said that he could not organize peaceful political assembly. He has been arrested by breaching the article 12 (2) and (3) of the Interim Constitution 2007. After he was arrested a protest was staged in front of the District Police Office Mahottri. Police did lathi charge on the protestors there at DPO and consequently, 5/6 women have been beaten up by the police, a local journalist informed to the Terai Human Rights Defenders Alliance (THRD Alliance). Citing security reasons police kept him in the District Police Office Mahottari.
