The district court has slapped 12 years to Mithilesh Yadav, 27, of Bathnaha VDC-2 while Mukesh Jung Khadka, 31, of Phattepur VDC-3 and Draupati Devi Chaudhary, 39, of Hariharpur VDC-2 has been sentenced to 10 years in prison each for trying to traffick two teenage girls of Hariharpur VDC-2. Draupati was remanded in custody for investigation since February 9, 2014 while the other two are absconding. She had tried to involve the two girls – one 16 and another 17-year-old in sex trade at a guest house in Itahari municipality-1 after taking them under the pretext of taking part in a training on July 6, 2013. The girls had managed to escape from the guest house after learning about the plan of Draupati to sell them with the help of Mukesh and Mithilesh. The victims had filed a case against them at the DPO on July 21, 2013. M
