In a complaint filed at the District Police Office, 23-year-old Anarkali Rajbanshi of  Bhathigachh VDC -7 reported that she has been frequently subjected to physical and mental torture by her father-in-law 60-year-old Ratilal Rajbanshi, mother-in-law 55-year-old Ghutani Devi and her sister-in-law 30-year-old Sugani Devi Rajbanshi. She has also said that they have denied her of basic food and clothing. Women and Children Service Center of District Police Office has registered a domestic violence case against the accused. Assistant-sub-inspector Tara Devi Mainali said that they have corresponded with area police station Rani in Biratnagar to summon the accused.
