Bandh halts transportation in Mechi zone

 BHADRAPUR, JAN 11 - The 30-party front including the UCPN (Maoist) and the Federal Limbuwan Party Nepal, among others have called a general strike throughout the Mechi zone thereby bringing vehicles' operation to a complete halt. A leader of the Limbuwan party, Kheseham Khajum, said the new constitution should be promulgated by forging agreement among all sides. However, rickshaw and ambulances are running unhindered. District Police Jhapa said no untoward incident has occurred so far. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurs and industrialists have urged the political parties to opt for alternative measures.
