District Court Bhaktapur has sentenced Suresh Tamang, 23, of Chhatredeurali VDC, Dhading, and currently living in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-13 to one year in prison for bigamy. The sentence, issued on February 2, was by the District Judge Lekhnath Dhakal. The accused had been in prison following the order by the court on August 18. His wife Shanti Maya Gurung, 32, had complained at the police on August 1 accusing him of the second marriage.
