28-year-old Kul Bahadur Rai of Kerabari VDC-9 has been remanded in prison by the District Court on February 12. Rai was charged with attempt to the rape of an 18-year-old woman. The bench of District Judge Shekhar Prasad Poudel had ordered for his incarceration. Rai was charged with raping the woman as she was sleeping on the veranda on January 19. Area Police Office, Belbari had arrested him on January 21 following the complaint. Her medical checkup was conducted at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
