Two rape cases have come into light in Pokhara, again. The rape victims are a 5-year-old girl and a teenaged girl. The District Police Office, Kaski has arrested 18-year-old Kumar Gurung of Manakamana-3, Syangja district on the charge of raping the 5-year-old girl from Parsyang, Pokhara-15. Gurung was recently living in Parsyang. Police said that Gurung called the girl to his room inviting her for watching television, offered her candy, and raped her. He was arrested on the basis of an FIR filed by the girls' relatives. Similarly, police arrested  Sewa Chaudhary on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl of Pokhara -17. Originally from Chitwan, Chaudhary had been living in Pokhara. He called the girl to his room on the pretext of handing her a book to read and then raped her, police said. Chaudhary was arrested on April 18. The investigation is on in both rape cases, according to police.
