Police have confiscated the body of a 12-year-old girl from Suburnapur 7 who was about to be cremated by her parents in suspicious condition. Based on the information given by villagers police intervened in the funeral ceremony of the 12-year-old girl and arrested her father Suresh Mahato, a resident of Subarnapur 7 in Parsa. The girl's parents claimed that she had committed suicide. Police suspect foul play on part of the parents in the death of the girl. According to the law they were required to inform the police even if the girl had actually committed suicide, which they did not. The body has been sent to Narayani Sub-regional hospital for further investigation.
