Cop detained in Jhapa

District Court, Jhapa, on Thursday ordered that Armed Police Force head constable Sandip Thapaliya, 35, of Mechinagar Municipality, Jhapa detained for further investigation. Police arrested Thapaliya after he was accused of raping three local girls at different times. He was arrested from the battalion on May 1. Thapaliya was serving at Padajungi-based Armed Police Force Pathivara Battalion.
