Police arrest 11 during protest against Lipulek pact

Police intervened in a protest demonstration organized by the CPN-Maoist against the Lipulek agreement signed by China and India on May 15 and made arrests too. Eleven demonstrators including party politburo member Tilak Pariyar were arrested from Sundhara while the demonstration was about to conclude. Police and protestors engaged in a minor clash in which some party cadres including trade union leader Yogendra Kumal were injured. They have been kept in Nepal Police Club, Exhibition Road.
