Madhesi Morcha declares more protests

Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (United Democratic Madhesi Front) has warned to set the constitution draft on fire and intensify their protest s if the constitution draft is presented in the Constituent Assembly in opposition to the agreement that was made before. According to Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party Vice-chairman Brishesh Chandra Lal, the Morcha, in a meeting at Sadbhawana Party’s office on Saturday, concluded that four parties are conspiring to bring the new constitution based on the preliminary draft, hence they are set to challenge them. Lal further said that the Morcha has announced protest s from August 4 to August 8. “The four parties didn’t pay any attention to our concerns, previous agreements or the spirit of the interim constitution ,” Lal said after the meeting. “We know of the conspiracy of presenting the primary constitution draft as the final one.” Lal further said that the Morcha has decided that it will join hands with other political parties for the fight against the conspiracy. The meeting has concluded to organise corner meets in order to inform all the cadres and citizens from August 4 to August 8, conduct protest conference in Dhankuta and Nepalgunj on August 5, in Birtamod and Dhangadhi on August 6 and in Hetauda on August 9. Similarly, the Morcha has decided to hold protest reviews and preparation meetings on August 9.
