A woman who was subjected to continuous physical and mental torture for allegedly practising witchcraft has been forced to settle her case against the accused tormenter outside the court by the political parties in Kavre district. Machhinmaya Thing who came to District Police Office at Dhulikhel from Danda VDC-7 walking a long distance of 65 Kilometers to lodge a complaint against Bhim Bahadur Thing for allegedly assaulting and torturing her physically and mentally has felt deprived of justice after the police denied registering her complaint facing pressure political parties who were protecting Bhim Bahadur Thing. Police released Bhim Bahadur on Thursday after he claimed that all accusations against him were false. DSP Raj Kumar KC of District Police Office Kavre, however, denied not registering the victim's complaint. He said that if the accusations were true police would take necessary action against Thing. Machhinmaya is seeking help from concerned organizations in her fight for justice.
