Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha supporters hit the streets in Saptari since early Thursday morning, a day after the Madhes alliance decided to step up the agitation programmes. Protesters resorted to vandalism and set the Pakari Police Station on fire. There were no human casualties reported since the police stationed there had been called as support force, earlier, to the headquarters. However, furniture, clothes among other things was destroyed in the fire. Likewise, the protesters vandalised the joint office of Saptakoshi municipality Ward no 8, 9 and 10. Fearing of mob attack personnel at Diman Police Station have also been pulled out to District Police Office.
