Raj Kumar Lekhi, Coordinator of Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha Central Agitation Mobilization Committee, has said that the agitation would be focused against human rights activists from now on. Saying that the rights activists did not raise voice against the government oppression against the Tharu agitation, Lekhi said that the agitation of Tharu and Madhesi Morcha would be against rights activist. He issued the warning on November 17 speaking at a press meet organized in Lamahi to assess the Tharu agitation and plan for the next phase of protest. Lekhi accused rights activists of not speaking a word even when Nepal Army was torching dozens of houses of Tharu in Kailali, terming them as 'dollar cultivators'. "Why did the rights activists did not speak against the government oppression at the peaceful protest of Tharu?" Lekhi said.
