After the death of two United Democratic Madheis Front (UDMF) cadres in Saptari district, UDMF cadres began protest and demonstrations from early Sunday morning. The two UDMF cadres died in the clash that took place at Bhardaha and Rupni road section of the East-West highway in Saptari district. The cadres have been demonstrating at Sahid chowk, hospital chowk, hulak chowk and other areas of Lahan by burning tires and chanting slogans. Markets and shops have not opened as of yet, with the demonstrations occupying the east-west highway. Reports of similar demonstrations have also been received from Gol Bazaar, Mirchaiya and other locations of Siraha district.
