Police arrested 28-year-old Atiram Yadav of Phohara in Rajpur VDC-1 on December 2 on the charges of murdering a 40-year-old woman after rape. Inspector Raju Thapa of Area Police Office Gadhawa said that Yadav was arrested on suspicion of his involvement in the incident after the body of the woman was found buried at a community forest near his home on December 1. The woman left her home to attend a date regarding a transaction case in the district court on November 27. Her body was exhumed after her broken bangles were found by locals near the site. The body of the deceased is kept at the Primary Health Center in Lamahi for autopsy. The deceased had filed a transaction case at the District Court after Krishna Bahadur Yadav of Rajpur VDC-1 did not return the loan that she provided. The accused is the brother of Krishna Bahadur. SP Kuber Kadayat said that Atiram was arrested for investigation.
