A truck with the registration number Na 2 Kha 6977 was set on fire at Mithila Municipalty-2 in Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section on January 7 by Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha cadres. The truck carrying husk was heading towards Everest Sugar in Ramnagar of Mahottari from Janakpur was set on fire by the demonstrators. The truck was destroyed in the incident, informed Area Police Office, Dhalkebar. Similarly, Morcha cadres hurled stones and vandalized two tractors in Thapa chowk, one tanker and a jeep in Laxminiya and one truck in Sapahi. According to the Parmeshwor Sah, District Chairperson of Terai-Madhesh Loktrantri Party, campaign has been started to check vehicles during night time from January 7 as smuggling of petroleum products has increased along with vehicular movement.
