One man arrested for forcing siblings into sex trade in Banke

Area Police Office Kohalpur arrested a man from Phattepur of Banke on the charges of allegedly forcing two siblings from Sinja of Jumla to engage in sex trade by holding them captive in hotel rooms. Police pressed human trafficking charges against the arrested, Om Prakash Malla. DSP Rajib Bahadur Basnet of Area Police Kohalpur said that Om Prakash forced the two girls to engage in sex with strangers in the hotel, and in turn he used to charge the strangers money. The two girls had gone missing from their hometown in Jumla around one and half months ago. Police had intensified search for the two girls after the girl's relatives reported about their missing to Area Police Office Kohalpur. In the course of search for the girls Police arrested Om Prakash from Kohalpur on Thursday. After his arrest Om Prakash confessed to police about his crime. Of the two girls, the elder sister was being held captive in Kohalpur while the younger sister was being kept at Nepalgunj. Both the girls have been rescued by the police.
