20-year-old Laxmi Ayr, a resident of Latamandau VDC-6 has filed an FIR against her father-in-law Tara Ayr and mother-in-law Vishna Ayr accusing them of torturing her physically and mentally on 22 March. According to the victim, the in-laws tortured her accusing her of being involved with her cousin, Khadak Mahara. Her cousin had come to her village to fix solar, and after finishing his work at 10 pm, he came to Laxmi's house to spend the night. Laxmi's in-laws blamed her for having affair with her cousin and tortured her. Laxmi's husband has gone to India for work. She is currently in a temporary Safe House run by District Women Service Center in Doti. Coordinator of the temporary Safe House, Devaki Bohara informed that police are preparing to register a domestic violence case against the arrested in-laws.
