The District Court of Nuwakot has sentenced 30-year-old Shivaram Neupane of Jiling-4 to one year in prison on the charges of polygamy. According to Shrestha Uddhab Prashad Gajurel of District Court, a verdict of justice Ajayaraj Upadhyaya slapped the sentence upon Shivaram and also decided to fine him rupees ten thousand fine. Shivaram's first wife, Sangita Neupane lodged a complaint of polygamy against Shivaram at the District Police Office after he married 23-year-old Sharmila Giri as his second wife on July 2, 2015.
