A man has been convicted on the rape charge and sentenced to 14 years in prison. The District Court Bhaktapur on Wednesday slapped a jail term of 14 years to Krishna Bahadur Kami,55, a resident of Ramechap district, after finding him guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl. Also known as Shambhu, Kami was living temporarily in Changu Narayan municipality where he committed the heinous crime. A single bench of Bhaktapur district judge Balendra Rupakheti handed down the sentence and imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000, according to records keeper at the Court Hari Krishna Shrestha.
