Police have arrested 5 people in accusation of attacking district chairman of Press Chautari Nepal Narma Dev Yadav,35-year-old of Nakati Rayapur VDC-8. The arrested have been identified as Mithlesh Yadav, 22-year-old Bibek Yadav, 17-year-old from Rajbiraj municipality-8, Dipak Yadav,19-year-old from Rajbirag municipality-9, Anmol Kumar,21-year-old from Birpur VDC-5, Rupesh Kumar Yadav, 19-year-old from Bisahariya VDC-9. According to the district police inspector Suraj Khadka of Saptari, journalist Yadav was beaten-up near Rajbiraj-Rupani roadside in Rayapur VDC-8, while he was there for collecting news. Yadav has sustained severe injuries on his head and he has been referred to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar. Secretariat Anil Pokharel of Press Chautari has issued a statement on April 24, demanding action against the perpetrators and compensation for the victim.
