Karnali Transport Entrepreneurs Association has enforced indefinite transportation strike along Karnali highway since Wednesday morning. The association halted transportation along the highway claiming that Chandannath Transportation Pvt Ltd had used forged agreement papers to obtain operating permits along the highway. Hundreds of commuters have been stranded due to the strike. Chairman of Karnali Transport Entrepreneurs Association, Min Bahadur Thapa said that vehicles belonging to Chandannath Transportation Pvt Ltd were operating without fulfilling necessary procedures and that they would not allow those vehicles to operate in Karnali. A meeting held between representatives of all the political parties, locals and other stakeholders at the District Administration Office had agreed to allow buses of Chandannath Transportation Pvt Ltd to operate without any hindrances.
