Boy's eardrum ruptured after beating by teacher

The eardrum of a student at New Siddhasthali Secondary School in Ratmate has ruptured after allegedly being slapped by a teacher at the school. The student identified as Anil Bomjon, a fourth-grader at the school, was thrashed by Anil Topu, a teacher at the school for not completing his homework. The boy's father, Bhakta Bomjan, shared that his son could lose his hearing due to the injury. Anil who was initially taken to District hospital for treatment was referred to Kathmandu. He is currently receiving treatment at Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. The incident came to light only recently as the boy did not share it with his parents immediately.
