Three people have sustained injuries after a wedding reception in Devichaur on the southern outskirts of Lalitpur turned into a gang fight, on Thursday night. Prabesh Tamang (24), Sonam Tamang (20) and Surya Tamang (22) were injured after some locals attacked them with a sword and a loaded gun. Some locals including Manik Thing (35), Raj Kumar Thing (32), Bishal Thing (24) and Amit Thing (23) among others had attacked the wedding attendants over a dispute while they were enjoying songs and dances at the party, according to police. The trio has been taken to the Patan Hospital for treatment. Sonam and Surya have returned to their home after treatment. Prabesh, however, has serious injuries as he was hit by shrapnel of the bullet and has been referred to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for further treatment, police said. A team deployed from the Chapagaun-based Metropolitan Police Circle and Tikabhairav Police Post has confiscated the loaded gun and the sword and detained 15 people for an investigation into the case.
