The district prison of Dang is facing a problem of space as it has more inmates than its capacity. Inmates are facing difficulties in sleeping and they are compelled to live under the tent according to acting jailer Nimananda Rijal. The prison has a capacity to accommodate 50 inmates however it has 176 detainees and inmates, Rijal said. He said that no inmates and detainees can be added anymore. Similarly, Tulsipur prison is also facing the same problem as it has double inmates than its capacity. In Tulsipur, there are 215 inmates and detainees according to jailer Devendra Shrestha. This overcapacity has created various problems among the prisoners, according to Shrestha.
