After the recommendation of nominees for Vice-president and Secretary of Nepali Congress, Morang, 3 working committee members did sit-in inside the office of Nepali Congress Morang. Subodh Niraula, Kedhar Bahadur Basnet and Uday Rajbansi did sit-in for 3 hours saying that the recommendation of nominees are not according to the party constitution. The controversy started after the party president, Dig Bahadur Limbu nominated Committee member Shiv Narayan Singh for Vice-President and General Convention Representative, Modraj Ghimire for Secretary. District member Shiv Dhakal is recommended for Co-Secretary. The constitution of party 2017 article 10 sub article 2 number 3 states that district president can recommend nominees for vice-president, secretary and co-secretary among the elected working committee members. President Limbu stated that he did not went against the constitution and working committee has already approved the nomination, General Convention of Nawalparasi has revised the party constitution which allows to nominate committee and general convention representative. नेपाली कांग्रेस मोरङको उपसभापति र सचिवको मनोनयन सिफारिस संगै कार्यसमितिका ३ सदस्य नेपाली कांग्रेस मोरङको कार्यालयमा धर्ना बसेका छन्। मनोनयन सिफारिस बिधान सम्मत नभएको भन्दै निर्वाचित जिल्ला कार्यसमिति सुबोध निरौला, केदार बहादुर बस्नेत र उदय राजबंशी पार्टी कार्यालयमै ३ घण्टा धर्ना बसेका हुन्। महासमिति सदस्य शिवनारायण सिंहलाई उपसभापति र महाधिबेशन प्रतिनिधि मोदराज घिमिरेलाई सचिवमा सभापति डिगबहादुर लिम्बुले बुधबार बसेको बैठकमा मनोनयन गरेपछि विवाद बढेको हो। सहसचिवमा जिल्ला सदस्य शिव ढकाललाई प्रस्ताब गरिएको छ। पार्टीको बिधान २०१७ को संसोधनको धारा १० को उपधारा २ को ३ मा जिल्ला सभापतिले निर्वाचित कार्यसमितिको सदस्यहरु मध्यबाट उपसभापति, सचिब र एक जना सहसचिव पदाधिकारी मनोनयनका लागि प्रस्ताब गर्ने प्राबधान रहेको छ। सभापति लिम्बूले भने 'म बिधान बाहिर गएको छैन मनोनायलाई कार्यसमितिले अनुमोदन गरिसक्यो, नवलपरासीको महाधिबेशनले महासमिति र महाधिबेशन प्रतिनिधिलाई पनि राख्न मिल्ने गरि बिधान परिमार्जन गरिसकेको छ।' नियमअनुसार कार्यसमितिमा प्रस्ताव गरेर बहुमतबाट पारित गर्नुपर्छ। निरौलाले भने, 'तर, सभापतिले पारित गरेको उद्घोष गरिए पनि लेखिएको छैन। फरक मत राख्न दिनुपर्छ भन्दा राख्न दिईएन त्येसैले हामी धर्ना बसेका हौँ।'
