2 women being trafficked to Oman via India rescued in Kanchanpur

The Maiti Nepal in Kanchanpur on Saturday rescued two women being trafficked to Oman via New Delhi of India, from Gaddhachauki. The women – aged 26 and 29 from Sunsari and Kaski respectively – were rescued from the western border point, said Maheshwori Bhatta, Coordinator at the Maiti Nepal in Kanchanpur. Bhatta informed that they were rescued from a bus (Na 5 Kha 897) en route to Delhi from Kathmandu. The women without passports or visas are suspected to have been enticed by the traffickers with the prospect of foreign employment.
