The Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist “captured” 114 ropani land belonging to Pashupati Murarka, the chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, at Panauti Municipality-1 in the district on Saturday. The Maoist activists, led by the party’s district secretary Sarad Rasaili, seized the property by putting up party flags. They charged Murarka with evading tax and promoting land mafia and black marketeering. Security personnel removed the flags later.
