Congress of Gorkha Municipality-10 has organized a picnic against the code of conduct. The party was organized in the presence of Surendra Pandey, a central member of Congress. Various nominees for candidacy were presented at the picnic. Various other parties and local people have claimed that Congress organized the party against the code of conduct with the intention of affecting the vote during the election. A leader of Congress said that around NRs 1,00,000 was spent for the picnic. They even selected the voters and distributed utensils, blanket, and other materials. As per the Election Code of Conduct, Article 2, 'no one is liable to donate cash or any other materials to the voters in order to allure them'. Hari Aryal, secretary of Congress, ward no. 2, said that they organized the picnic solely to celebrate the new year.
