Cadres of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal have padlocked Mahottari District Election Office, and the office of District Election Officer in Jaleshwor on May 30, as a part of the Party's agitation program demanding the amendment of constitution, increment in the number of local levels in Tarai before the second phase of loca level election among others. The RJP cadres staged a sit-in before the Election Officer's office after putting a lock at the main gate of the office. अनुसार राष्ट्रिय जनता पार्टी नेपालले निर्वाचन कार्यालय महोत्तरी र निर्वाचन अधिकृतको कार्यालयहरूमा जेठ १६ गते घेराउ गर्दै तालाबन्दी गरेको छ । राजपाका जिल्लास्तरीय नेता कार्यकर्ताहरूले जलेश्वरस्थित मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकृतको कार्यालयको मुल ढोकामा तालाबन्दी गर्दै धर्ना दिएका थिए । जनसङ्ख्याको आधारमा स्थानीय तह बढाउनु पर्ने,सिमाङ्कनलगायतको टुङ्गो लगाउनु पर्ने एवम् संविधान संशोधन गर्नु पर्ने भन्दै स्थानीय तहको निर्वाचनलाई बिथोल्न महोत्तरीको १५ वटा निर्वाचन अधिकृतको कार्यालयहरूमा तालाबन्दी गरेको राजपा नेपालका प्रवक्ता कृष्णा सिंहलेले जानकारी दिए । यद्यपी सुरक्षार्थ खटिएका सुरक्षाकर्मीहरूको टोलीले स्थितिलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको प्रहरीको भनाइ छ ।
