Kathmandu/June 3 Four students affiliated to Nepal Student Union (NSU) have been injured after police lathi charged them while they were protesting against the calling off of the Free Students Election in front of the Tri Chandra Campus on June 3. Those injured are Ayusman Bista, Kamal Thakurathi, Arjun Gautam and Sanjay Yadab. They sustained minor injuries and have returned following treatment at Bir Hospital. The irate students vandalized two government vehicles following the police lathi charge. Inspector Kubod Dhungana of the Metropolitan Police Sector Durbarmarg informed that two motorcycles (Ba1Pa 9853 and Ba2Ba 149) were vandalized by students. NSU had called for an hour chakkajam across the country from 9 to 10 am today demanding announcement of FSU election date. Bibek Dhungana काठमाडौँ । जेठ २० गते स्वतन्त्र विद्यार्थी युनियनको निर्वाचन स्थगनको विरोधमा त्रिचन्द्र क्याम्पस अगाडि जेठ २० गते नेविसङ्घका विद्यार्थीहरूले प्रदर्शन गरिरहेका बेला प्रहरीले लाठी चार्ज गरेपछि आक्रोशित विद्यार्थी समूहले दुई ओटा सरकारी मोटरसाइकल तोडफोड गरेका छन् । आक्रोशित विद्यार्थीले बा.१.प. ९८५३ र बा.२ ब. १४९ नम्बरको दुई सरकारी मोटसाईकल तोडफोड गरेको महानगरीय प्रहरी प्रभाग दरवारमार्गका इञ्चार्ज तथा इन्सपेक्टर कुवोद ढुङ्गानाले जानकारी दिए । लाठीचार्जका क्रममा विद्यार्थी र प्रहरीबीचसमेत झडप भएको छ । उक्त झडपमा परी नेविसङ्घका चार विद्यार्थी कार्यकर्ता घाइते भएको सङ्घका अध्यक्ष रञ्जीत कर्णले बताए । घाइतेहरू बीर अस्पतालमा सामान्य उपचार गराइ पक्रिएका छन् । घाइते हुनेहरूमा आयुष्मान विष्ट, कमल ठकुराठी, अर्जुन गौतम, सञ्जय यादव रहेका छन् । त्रिविले आउँदो जेठ २३ गते तोकेको स्वतन्त्र विद्यार्थी युनियनको निवार्चन स्थगन गरेपछि पुन स्ववियु निर्वाचनको मिति घोषणा गर्नुपर्ने माग राख्दै बिहान ९ देखि १० बजेसम्म नेपाल विद्यार्थी सङ्घले आज देशैभर चक्काजाम कार्यक्रम गरेको छ । विवेक ढुङ्गाना
