Bibeksheel Sajha Party organized a protest rally jingling bells against the decision of Tribhuvan University (TU) to grant affiliation to Kathmandu Medical College. The party organized a gathering at Maitighar Mandala on Saturday condemning the decision of the TU and demanding the immediate scrap of the affiliation. The protestors accused Vice-Chancellor of TU, Dr Tirtha Khaniya of being driven by the mafias and making the decision to affiliate the college despite lack of infrastructure. Here are some glimpses and video of the protest. काठमाडौँ नेशनल मेडिकल कलेजलाई दिइएको सम्बन्धनको विरोध गर्दै विवकेशील साझा पार्टीले काठमाडौँमा घण्ट सभा गरेको छ । सरकारले १० वर्षसम्म कुनैपनि मेडिकल कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन नदिने ऐन ल्याउन खोज्दा खोज्दै त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालयका उपकुलपति तिर्थ खनियाले काठमाडौँ नेशनल मेडिकल कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन दिएको भन्दै विवेकशीले साझाले शनिबार माइतीघरमा घण्ट सभा गरेको हो। कुनै पनि आधारभूत आवश्यकता पूरा नगरेको कलेजलाई माफियाहरूको पैसा र मोहमा परेर उपकुलपति खनियाले काठमाडौँ नेशनल मेडिकल कलेजलाई सम्बन्धन दिएको उनीहरूको आरोप छ। घण्ट जुलुसमा उपकुलपति खनियालाई कारवाही गर, डाक्टर गोविन्द केसीका माग पूरा गर, ६०१ लाई भत्ता चिकित्सा ऐन बेपत्ता, तिर्थ खनिया राजीनामा दे जस्ता प्लेकार्ड प्रदर्शन गरिएको थियो।
