Ward Police Office Lamahi has declared man who died in police custody as recovered dead body. They also cremated the body after that. Police posted a public statement on their Facebook page. Police was taking a man named Gangate to the hospital on August 29. Dr. Ishwari Khanal said that he had mental problem and that he has to be treated in a different place. When they took him for check up on 30th August, he was already dead. Dr. Khanal also revealed that he was put on ECG first and was then declared dead. After that, they posted the picture of his dead body. After that, they posted his dead body, abandoned on the streets of Ghorahi-Lamahi road. Gangate was caught a couple of times for theft. His real name hasn't still been identified. However, Ward Police have confirmed that they never took control of him.
