Khotang/June 20 Chandra Singh Basnet, 58, of Bhorleni in Dumredharapani VDC-9, who had left his village following threats of physical abuse by the CPN-M cadres, have filed an application on June 19 at District Police Office to create environment conducive for his return. The CPN-M members including Dinnath Pandey, Bhawakrishna Pandey, Tul Bahadur Magar and Dilli Bahadur Magar reportedly threatened him of “breaking his hands and legs”. He added that the cadres had captured his 40 ropanis of land with plot number 59 and 63 on May 6 which he had countered leading to the threats. In his application, Basnet has said that he had to leave his village without committing any sin and urged the police to initiate return of his land. He had also filed his application at NHRC sub-regional office and INSEC Khotang office. CPN-M special area secretary Jham Prasad Acharya said that Basnet had looted paddy grown by the farmers in public land making them to take the step. He rejected Basnet’s accusation that his comrades had intimidated Basnet. Inspector Durga Regmi of District Police Office said that they were preparing to summon both sides for a meeting. DM Chamling Rai खोटाङ । ०७० असार ६ गते नेकपा-माओवादीका कार्यकर्ताले हातखुट्टा भाँच्ने धम्की दिएपछि ०७० जेठ २९ गतेदेखि गाउँबाट विस्थापित भएको भन्दै डुम्रेधारापानी गाविस-९ भोर्लेनीका ५८ वर्षीय चन्द्रसिं बस्नेतले गाउँ फर्किने वातावरण मिलाइ दिन असार ५ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय खोटाङमा निवेदन दिएका छन् । नेकपा-माओवादी डुम्रेधारापानी गाउँ पार्टीका सदस्यहरु दिननाथ पाण्डे, भवकृष्ण पाण्डे, तुलबहादुर मगर र डिल्लीबहादुर मगरले विनाकारण हातखुट्टा भाँच्ने धम्की दिएपछि घर बस्न नसकी सदरमुकाम दिक्तेल बस्दै आएको बस्नेतले उजुरीमा उल्लेख गरेका छन् । डुम्रेधारापानी गाविस-५ मा रहेको कित्ता नम्बर ५९, ६३ नम्बरको ४० रोपनी जग्गा ०७० वैशाख २३ गते नेकपा-माओवादीले कब्जा गरी पार्टीको झण्डा गाडेको र उक्त जग्गा आफ्नो भएको बस्नेतले जनाएपछि माओवादीले धम्की दिने गरेको आएको उनले बताएका छन् । बिनाकसुर गाउँबाट विस्थापित हुनु परेको भन्दै धम्की दिने व्यक्तिहरु झिकाइ कब्जा गरिएको जग्गा फिर्ता गराइ दिन र घर फर्किएर निर्भिकतापूर्वक बस्ने वातावरण मिलाउन माग गर्दै उनले उजुरी दिएका हुन् । प्रहरीसँगै उनले राष्ट्रिय मानवअधिकार आयोग उपक्षेत्रीय कार्यालय खोटाङ र इन्सेक खोटाङ कार्यालयमा समेत निवेदन पेश गरेका छन् । नेकपा-माओवादीका विशेष एरिया सेक्रेटरी झमप्रसाद आचार्यले भने किसानहरुले ऐलानी जग्गामा खेत बनाएर उब्जाएको अन्न बस्नेतले लुटेर लैजाने गरेको पत्ता लागेपछि जग्गा कब्जा गरेको बताए । उनलाई आफ्नो कार्यकर्ताले धम्की नदिएको उनको भनाइ छ । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका इन्स्पेक्टर दुर्गा रेग्मीले यस विषयमा दुवै पक्षलाई कार्यालयमा बोलाइ छलफल गराउने तयारी भइरहेको बताए । डिएम चाम्लिङ राई
