A clash has erupted between the police and local people in Newarpani, Makwanpur on Saturday night. Police have opened fire to take the situation under control. The clash erupted when police tried to control two groups who were fighting with each other. Locals have accused police that they touched the private parts of a woman while taking the groups under control. They have also vandalized the police station and destroyed the furniture. The vehicular movement was also halted for some hour due to the incident. मकवानपुरमा स्थानीय र प्रहरीबीच झडप भएको छ । पूर्व-पश्चिम राजमार्ग अन्तर्गत मकवानपुरको नेवारपानीमा प्रहरीले शनिबार राति झडप हुँदा प्रहरीले हवाई फायरिङ गरेको छ । स्थानीयवासी र नेवारपानी प्रहरी चौकीका प्रहरीबिच भएको झडपका क्रममा प्रहरीले चार राउण्ड हवाई फायरिङ गरेको हो ।स्थिति नियन्त्रणमा लिन प्रहरीले चार राउण्ड हवाई फायर गरिएको मकवानपुर प्रहरी प्रवक्ता डिएसपी दिलिप झाले बताए । प्रहरीले स्थानीय र वनभोजमा आएका व्यक्तिहरुको झगडा छुटाउने क्रममा एक युवतीलाई संवेदनशील अंगमा पर्ने गरी कुटपिट गरेको स्थानीयको आरोप छ । झडपका क्रममा स्थानीयले चौकीमा सामान्य तोडफोड गरेका छन् । तोडफोडबाट फर्निचरका साथै सिसाहरु फुटेको प्रहरी प्रवक्ता झाले बताए । झडपपछि केही समय चक्काजाम समेत भएको थियो ।
