Bardiya/ August 6 Ratna Bahadur Pariyar, 35, of Mamamedpur VDC-8 living in Kusumba of Sanoshree VDC-3 has accused a police administration of torturing him on August 4 while in custody. Pariyar has been working as a tailor at Chino Tailoring. The injured victim got the primary treatment at local pharmacy and was taken to Nepalgunj for further treatment. Ratna Bahadur was arrested from his rented flat while he was celebrating his son’s birthday. The patrolling police arrested him claiming he was arguing and making noise with his wife in an inebriated state. The next day he was handed over to the family by the police. The incident has been revealed after his family saw bruises in his body. The victim sustained eye, head and leg injuries. SI Lokendra Singh Thakuri claimed that the victim has been taken into custody while he was in an inebriated state and might have been injured while he tried to resist the arrest. M
