Nepal Television representative of Mahottari, Rajiv Rai Kurmi has been misbehaved by the police constable Rajendra Bahadur Basnet on June 4. The victim accused that he was misbehaved on charge of taking photo of police while taking bribe from the smugglers. He was beaten by the constable saying “Why are you taking picture? The journo was taking picture of policeman Rakesh Ray taking bribe in an uniform at Samsi Rural Municipality. He was immediately told to delete the picture from his mobile by constable Basnet and attempted to snatch his mobile by misbehaving him. Journo gave his identity however he was misbehaved and beaten by the constable. Chief District Officer Babu Ram Shrestha said that he will immediately gather the information regarding the misbehave. He added that police will be taken action if found guilty. तस्करसँग पैसा लिईरहेको प्रहरीको फोटो खिच्दा एक पत्रकारमाथि प्रहरीले हातपात गरेको छ । फोटो किन खिचेको भन्दै प्रहरी हवल्दार राजेन्द्रबहादुर बस्नेतले नेपाल टेलिभिजनका महोत्तरी सम्बाददाता राजिव राय कुर्मीमाथि सोमबार बेलुकी हातपात गरेका हुन् । जिल्लाको सम्सी गाउँपालिकाको बजार क्षेत्रमै बर्दीमै रहेका प्रहरी जवान राकेश रायले पैसा लिइरहेको बेला फोटो खिचेका पत्रकार कुर्मीलाई तत्कालै त्यहाँ आइपुगेका इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय सम्सीका हवल्दार बस्नेतले धकेल्नुका साथै कठालो समातेर मोबाइल खोस्ने र फोटो डिलिट गर्न प्रयास गरेको पत्रकार कुर्मीले बताउनुभयो । कुर्मीले आफू पत्रकार भएको बताएपछि बस्नेतले कठालो छोडेका थिए । महोत्तरीका प्रहरी उपरीक्षक कुवेर कडायतले घटनाबारे सत्यतथ्य पता लगाउने काम भइरहेको र घटनामा संलग्न प्रहरीलाई जलेश्वर बोलाएको जानकारी दिनुभयो । दोषी पाइए प्रहरीमाथि कारबाही हुने पनि उहाँले बताउनुभयो । महोत्तरीका प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी बाबुराम श्रेष्ठले पनि तत्काल घटनाबारे बुझ्ने बताउनुभएको छ ।
