Man Arrested for Assaulting Wife Solukhumbu/October 2 District Police Office Solukhumbu has arrested Dawa Sherpa, who had absconded after attacking his wife with a khukuri, on October 1. Dawa, 39, of Dasi in Salleri VDC-5 had attacked and injured his wife Phurba Tamang, 40, on September 28 over a minor family dispute. The victim underwent treatment at District Hospital Phaplu the same day. She had filed a complaint against her husband on September 29 demanding action at the DPO Solukhumbu. According to police, the victim sustained injury to her right hand and different parts of her body. DSP Badri Bikram Thapa of the DPO said that investigation was ongoing into the incident.
