Police have intensified searching weapons in view of security for upcoming CA polls.
As part of the special security campaign, police raided the contact office of CPN-M in Kirtipur Municipality on October 28.
According to the Spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Office Hemanta Pal, police recovered 100 lathis from the CPN-M office.
Pal further said that the police had begun search of small weapons in line with the previous decision of the central security committee as use of small arms might increase in anti-election activities.
According to DSP Arjun Chand of Metropolitan Police Range Hanumandhoka, about 11000 weapons out with public, out of which, only 129 have been handed over to the police.
