Teachers of Dang staged a sit-in in front of the office of local level government demanding for the fulfillment of 26-point-demand. It was done under the initiation of Nepal Teachers Federation. This is their third instance of protesting.
Amar Bahadur Khadka, President of Teachers Federation Dang stated that government hasn't been successful to treat the teachers well ignoring their responsibilities of producing capable manpower for the nation.
Demands such as 4% of expenditure of total budget on education, compulsory basic education and improvement of infrastructures of schools were put forth.
