8 people were injured during a clash between two groups on Friday night at Manthali Municipality-7, Bhatauli.

According to District Police Office, Ramechhap, those injured in the clash have been identified as Santosh Majhi, Sommaya  Majhi, PurnaBahadur Majhi, Samir Majhi, Chandramaya Majhi, Milan Majhi, Santosh Majhi and Khembahadur Majhi.

All the injured were sent to Kathmandu for treatment. Among injured, the condition of Purna Bahadur Maghhi and Sommaiya Majhi is critical. Police Inspector Rajendra Kumar Thapa of the District Police Office, Ramhechhap said that both of them are undergoing treatment at ICU at Norvik Hospital, Kathmandu. According to him, both the injured have sustained serious injury on their head. Thapa told that he had been collecting money for the treatment of 5 lakh rupees immediately for their treatment.

Police arrested the accused attackers Bal Bahadur Majhi, Chitra Majhi, Dilip Majhi, Bhakta bahadur Maghi, Bom Bahadur Maghhi and Jai Majhi, Som Bahadur Majhi and Bishnu Majhi of the same village on Saturday. According to the District Police Office, Ramechhap four of them were arrested from Sindhuli district while the other four were found hiding in different places within the district. A similar clash had also taken place during last year's Tihar in Ramechhap.
