A cab driver was severely injured after being attacked by two robbers posing as passengers in Balkumari of Lalitpur. The two unidentified youths hired the cab to travel from Pulchowk of Lalitpur to Sankhamul. Upon reaching the bridge at Balkumari, they beat the cab driver, 42-year-old Dambar Khadka and looted rupees 6 thousand in his possession and a mobile phone.
Khadka sustained serious injury on his eye as the robbers hit him with a rod in the eye. SP Sekhar Khanal of Metropolitan Police Circle said that police were trying to establish the identity of the robbers and nab them.
