A complaint was lodged against Mankumari and her son Man Bahadur Rai, a resident of Satakhani, Surkhet, at District Police Office in accusation of discriminating against Tika Kumari Mijar based on caste. Rai supposedly mistreated Mijar for touching the public tap.

In the written complaint, it is disclosed that Rai beatMijar and shouted obscenities at her while going to fetch water. 

And many other incidents related to caste discrimination is wide still in Nepal.
