26-year-old Padiki Sherpa Shrestha from Saptakoshi-10 was killed with a sharp weapon by an unidentified person.
According to the victim's relative, she was hit 10 times by the sharp weapon on her head.
Victim's husband, Ramesh Shrestha, is in Malaysia for employment and she is the 2nd wife.
She was staying with her brother-in-law, stepson, and her sister's daughter. Police have arrested 36-year-old Santosh Tamang and his wife as a suspect. The deceased celebrated the completion of her new house with the constructor and her brother-in-law on December 27. They drank beer together.
The bloodstained Khukuri was found from Tamang's house so he was under investigation. The dead body was sent to Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital on December 28 for the postmortem examination and further investigation is ongoing.
