A 17-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Jalasa Hotel in Dhagadhi, has been rescued from Mohana forest. Police rescued Basanta Bhat of Godawari Municipality-6 on Tuesday.
Police Inspector Wakil Bahadur Singh of the Ward Police Office in Dhangadhi said Chakra Khadka and three others had kidnapped Basanta over a minor dispute. Both Bhat and Khadka work as waiters in Jalasa hotel.
“The kidnappers took Bhat on a motorcycle and physically assaulted him,” said Singh. “They fled the scene after police warned to shoot them.”
Meanwhile, Bhat said Chakra and his group were trying to kill him on the bank of Mohana river.
Police arrested Chakra Khadka, Harkesh Bagh and Kundan Joshi on the charge of abduction and attempted murder. Chhatra Kathayat, who was also involved in the incident, is at large.
