A woman of Nilkantha Municipality-14 in Dhadhing district was hacked to death on Tuesday, apparently by her nephew.
Manika Ale Magar, 25, of Ratmate had gone to collect fodder early in the morning when she was murdered, according to police. It has been reported that Suman Ale Magar, 16, of the same village, who happens to be Manika's nephew, attacked her with a sharp weapon. The reason behind the attack is not yet known.
Police claimed that she died on the spot after the attacker struck her neck by a Khukuri knife.
The District Police Office (DPO) said that Suman is currently at large following the incident.
Police have expedited investigation on the case and has intensified search for the perpetrator. The victim has a five-year-old daughter while her husband is serving in the Nepal Army.
