The victim’s party of 15 years old Ashmita Rasaili of Khandadevi Rural Municipality has been lodged at District Police Office on January 25 against 55 years old Maiya Karki accusing her of caste-based-discrimination. The victim was discriminated on charge of touching tap water.
The victim was beaten by the accused on December 29 on charge of touching water. The victim was ill for few days after beating.
Prior to this, the complaint was lodged at judicial committee of the Rural Municipality on January 15 however the incident could not be settled and victim’s party again lodged complaint at District Police Office for justice.
The complaint has been registered at Police according to chairperson Lekh bahadur B.K of Nepal National Dalit Wale fare Federation of Ramechhap.
